Sales Visits

For those who like a more personal sales touch, CRC Press has a team of scientific and professional product representatives/agents in key countries. We support our sales representatives with publicity and marketing information to aid their sales efforts.

Our key representatives attend international conventions and mail extensively to our own offices in the U.K. and other locations across the globe. We also mail extensively to our own lists and members of international societies.


Contacting customers via telephone remains an effective marketing avenue. We inform customers when we are ready to release new editions of books they previously purchased as well other carefully selected related titles we think will be of interest to them. When customers call in to place an order, we also routinely suggest related books that will be of interest to them.

Professional Market Resellers

This continuously expanding group, including catalogers, associations, magazines, newsletter publishers, consultants, author companies, seminar groups, Internet bookstores, and corporate universities, is becoming an important outlet for our books. Each relationship is closely managed by our inside sales department and editorial staff. We are constantly growing this client list via authors, convention leads, and other sources.

Premium Sales

Premium sales are bulk sales made to corporations, institutions, and societies that specialize in an area that a specific book addresses. They can also be arranged if enough interest is generated prior to a book's publication. Authors can contribute a great deal in this process - especially those with society connections.

Sales to this channel are primarily the result of telemarketing and direct mail efforts. All other sales channel efforts serve as a catalyst to this kind of sale, including the up-sell and cross-sell efforts of our customer service department.

Book Club Sales

Our volumes are presented to Scientific American Book Club and other select book clubs by our trade field representatives, in collaboration with our editors.


Our field representatives present Taylor & Francis / CRC Press books to retail bookstores and wholesalers throughout the United States and the rest of the world on a regular basis.

Our dedicated textbook sales team contact professors about adopting our books for their courses. For convenience, we have a tabbed textbook area on our website that navigates instructors directly to our textbook titles.

We are glad to provide complimentary review copies of our textbook titles being considered for course adoption. We now provide eInspection copies for every book that has an eTextbook available.

For many of our books, we offer supplementary materials including solutions manuals, teachers' guides, lecture materials, test banks, and more. These are provided complimentary to instructors who have adopted our textbook as the primary book for their course.
