This book delineates the scientific principles of design and fabrication of packaging materials for food as well as methods for structural modification and other techniques. It describes the main practical properties and applications of polymer materials and highlights the analysis of all processes taking place during formations and destruction of polymer packaging materials. Methods such as electron microscopy, infrared microscopy and optical polarization were used to describe the behaviour of polymer materials and their composition.
Biography
Lidia A. Sukhareva, Professor, doctor of chemical science, honored worker of science in Russia. Has authored 10 books and approx. 500 articles. She leads scientific department dealing with creation of polymer coatings for protection of equipment. Works at Moscow State University of Applied Biotechnology. Olga A. Legonkova, PhD in technical science, specailizes in polymer chemistry and physics, general chemical technology and polymer materials science. Co-authored two books; is the author of about 100 articles. Vyacheslav S. Yakovlev, Director, Protective Coatings LLC, Moscow, Russia; specialist in the field of polymer physicochemistry and technology. Has over 150 articles and co-authored 6 books.
