    The African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights has established a Working Group on Indigenous Populations/Communities that undertook a research and information visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo in August 2009, and this is the report from that visit. The report gives an account of meetings held with government authorities, civil society organizations, indigenous communities, and other stakeholders; it describes the situation of the indigenous populations in the country and it makes recommendations to the government, civil society organizations, and the international community. The mission was conducted in Kinshasa, North Kivu, and South Kivu (Goma and Bukavu). The report is a bilingual English/French publication.
