    Biography

    Dr. Paul G. Preuss has completed 36 years of service in the public schools of New York State as teacher, principal, superintendent, and as assistant Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) superintendent. He coauthored the unified Planning Process, which served as a basis for New York’s Comprehensive District Education Planning process (CDEP), and established and directed the New York State Technical Assistance Center for Comprehensive District Education Planning. He served as a member and co-chair of the New York State CDEP Steering Committee and the Steering Committee of the New York State Data Analysts Group. Dr. Preuss has authored the “School Leader’s Guide to Root Cause Analysis: Using Data to Dissolve Problems.” In retirement he has provided consulting and training services to school districts both locally and nationally.Dr. Preuss holds degrees from Muhlenberg College, Colgate University, and Syracuse University. He is a student of organizational behavior and has become a systems thinker. His work is backed by 32 years of administrative experience in making positive things happen for students.
