    Biography

Margaret Cater is the mother of four grown children and five grandchildren. When her own fourth child sank her parental boat, she herself was forced to search for help and understanding of what was happening. These Adlerian ideas and methods gave her such gratifying and happy results, she became an indefatigable Adlerian family counselor and parent study group leader. Eventually, many pages of this Action Guide materialized from her efforts to help other parents understand and put to use successfully these quite novel ways of influencing children and guiding them to maturity.
