    Biography

    NICOLAE H. PAVEL is Professor of Mathematics at Ohio University, Athens. The author or coauthor of five books and over 60 professional papers and the coeditor of two books, he is a member of the American Mathematical Society and the Romanian Mathematical Society. Dr. Pavel, a recipient of the Simion Stoilov Award from the Romanian Academy of Sciences, received the Ph.D. degree (1972) from the University of Ia????i, Romania.
