    MARC BEKOFF is professor of biology at the University of Colorado, Boulder, a Fellow of the Animal Behavior Society, and a Guggenheim Fellow. CARRON A. MEANEY is a research associate at the Denver Museum of Natural History and the University of Colorado Museum.
