The International Mining Forum is a recurring event, hosted by the University of Science and Technology in Cracow, Poland, bringing together an international group of scientists, including those working in rock mechanics and computer engineering as well as mining engineers. The topics are wide-ranging, including papers on remote sensing to assess primary impact; treatment of sealed-off coal mine fires; sustainable development in mine closure; and monitoring of natural hazards and safety issues.

Vertical Movement of the Surface Associated with Flooding of a Mine.   The Use of Pre-stressed Rope Tendons in the Polish Coal Mining Industry.   A New Method to Estimate Sealed-off Fire State in Coal Mines.   Monitoring of the Parameters during Sequestration of CO2 to the Coal Seams in the RECOPOL Project (Upper Silesian Coal Basin, Poland).   Formation of a Rational Level of Coal Production.   Sustainable Development in Practice of Mine Closure.   Assessing the Influence of Mining on the Environment Using Satellite Data.   The Rate of Roof Strata Separation as a Function of Tunnel Support Type.   Assessment of the Efficiency of Self-propelled Mining Machines Used in Canadian Mines.   New Safety Technologies in Underground Mines.   Geophysical Model for the Analysis of Seismic Emission in the Area of Rock Beam Splitting Caused by Mining Operations.   Mining Project Value in Monte Carlo Simulation. Preference Theory Approach.   Quarry Evaluation and Control of Bench Blasting.   Option Sequences in Mineral Project.   Monitoring of Associated Natural Hazards in the Underground Hard Coal Mines.
