    Biography

    Dr. Mallappa Kumara Swamy, PhD., is working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the department of Crop Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Serdang, Selangor, Malaysia. Previously, he had worked as an Associate Professor and Head, Department of Biotechnology, Padmashree Institute of Management and Sciences, Bangalore University, Bengaluru, India. He obtained his PhD (Biotechnology) from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, India in 2013. He is having more than 15 years of teaching and research experience in the fields of plant biotechnology, secondary metabolites production, phytochemistry and bioactive studies. To his credit, he has published more than 80 research publications in peer- reviewed journals and 16 book chapters in reputed book publishers. Recently, he has edited 4 books, published by Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd., Singapore in 2018 and 3 books are in preparation to be published by Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd., Singapore. He is also serving as the Editorial board member and reviewer for few high impact international Journals. Presently, he is working in the area of natural products research, plant cell and tissue culture technology for bioactive compounds production and evaluation of their bioactivities. Also, his research is focused on nanobiotechnology for medical applications.

    Dr. Jayanta Kumar Patra, M.Sc. Ph.D., PDF, is currently working as Assistant Professor at Dongguk University, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea. He has about twelve years of research and teaching experience in the field of food, pharmacological and nano-biotechnology. Dr. Patra completed his Ph.D (Life Sciences) from North Orissa University, India in pharmacological application of mangrove plant bioactive compounds, and PDF (Biotechnology) from Yeungnam University, South Korea. To his credit, he has published around 100 papers in various national and international peer-reviewed journals from different publishers such as Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Wiley etc. and around twenty book chapters in different edited books. Dr. Patra has also authored five books, 1. “Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology” by STUDIUM Press (India); 2: “Natural Products in Food, Prospects and applications” by STUDIUM Press LLC USA; 3. Microbial Biotechnology: Applications in agriculture and environment and 4: Microbial Biotechnology: Applications in food and pharmacology, both by Springer Nature publisher and Advances in Microbial Biotechnology: Current Trends and Future Prospects with Apple Academic Press, Inc., Canada, CRC Press, a Taylor & Francis group. Besides, a number of book projects are under process with Apple Academic Press, Inc., Canada, CRC Press, a Taylor & Francis group, CRC press, Cambridge Scholars publishing etc. He is also serving as editorial board member of several International Journals and one Science magazine.   

    Dr. Gudepalya Renukaiah Rudramurthy, PhD., is working as a Professor and Head, Department of Biotechnology at East West College of Science, Bengaluru, India. He has obtained his PhD (Biotechnology) from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH) Telangana, India in 2016. He has more than 17 years of teaching and research experience in the fields of molecular diagnostics, natural product and nanoparticles research. To his credit, he has published more than 30 research and review publications in peer- reviewed international and national journals.
