Biography

Rephael Wenger is an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University. He received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his Ph.D. from McGill University. He has published over fifty papers in computational geometry, computational topology,
combinatorics, geometric modeling and visualization. His work includes papers on geometric transversal theory, planar graph embedding, image processing of electrophoresis gels, curve and surface reconstruction, and topological persistence. His papers on isosurfaces present algorithms for isosurface construction in 4D,
interval volume generation, generation of guaranteed quality isosurface meshes, and measurement and analysis of the isosurface fractal dimension.

Dr. Wenger and his wife live in Columbus, Ohio. They enjoy swimming in the lakes of Ohio and the coast of North Carolina and hiking and backpacking in the West Virginia mountains.
