I'm a statistician. This latest book stems from teaching an MBA-level course on statistics for finance. It could be used for a first or second course on statistics.

Biography

My home base at UIC is the Information & Decision Sciences Dept., College of Business Administration.  I usually teach courses on Multivariate Analysis, Regression Analysis, and Research Methodology.  I have courtesy appointments in the Dept. of Math, Statistics & Computer Science, College of LAS;  Bioengineering, College of Engineering; Div. of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health.

I'm a member of the Council of Sections of the American Statistical Association, representing the Section on Risk Analysis.  I'm a member of the Board of Directors of the Classification Society, of which I served as Secretary/Treasurer from 1997 to 2013.
