Dr. Mohammad Omar Abdullah currently is an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering & Energy Sustainability, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Malaysia. He has delivered more than 15 years of lectures, short courses, and seminars around the globe and has published many papers on energy and related fields in many professional journals, technical papers and conferences.He was appointed as a Senior Member of the Academy of Malaysian SMEs (S.M.A.M.S) in March 2009 during the IKS2009 Presentation and Exhibition at the Putra World Trade Center (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS), USA; member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE), USA; Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and CEng, United Kingdom. He has bachelors and master’s degrees, both in Petroleum Engineering, from UTM, Malaysia, and a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire (UH), United Kingdom. He is also a board member of the Board of Study Panel and the Industrial Panel for the faculty of Petroleum and Renewable Energy Engineering (FPREE), UTM.
