Patrick McGlynn, retired Military Intelligence Officer, husband, father, and author.

Biography

Born in Texas and raised in rural surroundings. Patrick McGlynn enlisted in the military at the age of 19. Mr. McGlynn came up through the ranks and retired as Major with over 26 years of active and reserve military service. Add to that, 12 years as a civilian intelligence analyst, which includes assignments with the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency, tours in Afghanistan, Iraq and other Middle East locations. He has deployed multiple times to Afghanistan as a contractor in support of the USFORA/ISAF Counter-IED Intelligence Analysis Uplift effort as well as, Iraq as a military member of Multi-National Force-Iraq Military Intelligence General Staff. Recently, Mr. McGlynn spent two years at the National Counter-Terrorism Center (NCTC) as a Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Subject Matter Expert (SME) and a Senior Intelligence Analyst. He presently is a civilian contractor SME at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).
Previously, as a U.S. Army Military Intelligence Officer, Mr. McGlynn authored multiple authoritative intelligence reports dealing terrorism, irregular warfare, WMD, and information operations.
He has authored technical papers and professional articles on Biometrics, Autonomous Targeting Networks/Systems, Structured Analytic Techniques (SATs) and Data Thinning, Crime Mapping as well as, analytical training Courses on Counter-Improvise Explosive Devices (IEDs), Counter Insurgency, Analytical Tradecraft, Terrorism, Irregular Warfare, Information Operations, Collection Management, Activity-Based Intelligence (ABI), and Network Analysis. He has a master’s degree from Georgia Southern University in Adult Education and Industrial Technology.
