Scott Middleton MBChB, FRCS Ed (Tr & Orth) is the director of FRCStutor Ltd (www.frcstutor.com) and founding member of the team behind the hugely successful passthemrcs.co.uk, the most commonly used resource for part B of the MRCS exam. He is the co-author of the recently published 'Trauma Vivas for the FRCS' textbook. He is also a tutor for the Master of Surgery (ChM) in Trauma & Orthopaedics at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh which prepares candidates for the FRCS (Tr & Orth) exam.

Biography

Scott Middleton MBChB, FRCS Ed (Tr & Orth) is a director of FRCStutor Ltd (www.frcstutor.com) and founding member of the team behind the hugely successful passthemrcs.co.uk, the most used resource for part B of the MRCS exam, and author of the recently published 'Trauma Vivas for the FRCS' textbook. He is also a tutor for the Master of Surgery (ChM) in Trauma & Orthopaedics at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh which prepares candidates for the FRCS (Tr & Orth) exam.

Mr Middleton is a trauma and orthopaedic registrar at the Edinburgh Orthopaedic Trauma Unit and a Surgical Education Fellow at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London. He is widely published in the orthopaedic literature with more than twenty publications, and reviews articles for the British Medical Journal (BMJ) and Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).

Middleton co-authored a chapter titled 'Assessment of the Multiply Injured Patient' in the newly published Oxford Textbook of the Fundamentals of Surgery and has a special interest in trauma surgery both clinically and academically. Middleton is also a quality improvement trainee associate at NHS Education for Scotland, as well as a clinical tutor associate at the University of Edinburgh.

Middleton is heading to Vancouver for the illustrious trauma fellowship in July 2019, followed by a Foot & Ankle fellowship in 2020 in Sydney, Australia
