Dr. Chen is a fellow of ASA and a distinguished Professor at the UNC-Chapel Hill and an extraordinary professor at the University of Pretoria, SA. He was the Karl E. Peace Endowed Eminent Scholar Chair in Biostatistics at Georgia Southern University, and Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Rochester. Dr. Chen’s research interest is at clinical trial biostatistics. He has published more than 150 refereed papers and co-authored/co-edited 12 books.

Biography

Din Chen is a fellow of ASA and currently the Wallace H. Kuralt Distinguished Professor at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and an extraordinary professor at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Formerly, he was the Karl E. Peace Endowed Eminent Scholar Chair in Biostatistics and professor of biostatistics in the Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health at Georgia Southern University, and Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Rochester. Dr. Chen’s research interests include clinical trial biostatistical methodological development in Bayesian models, survival analysis, and statistics in biological assays. He has published more than 150 refereed papers and co-authored/co-edited 12 book in statistics.
