Dr Quan V Vuong is a senior lecturer in food science and human nutrition at the University of Newcastle, Australia. Dr Vuong has experience in the food industry and is now a senior lecturer in food science at the University of Newcastle, Australia. Dr Quan Vuong is exploring the benefits from a diversified array of natural products. His research interest is on compounds that have potent antioxidant capacity, and effective biological actions on human health, and which can be utilised in pharmaceutical, cosmetic and neutraceutical industries. He is also interested in utilisation of bioactive compounds from Agricultural and food production. In addition, he is also interested in development and application of edible coating for extending the shelf life of fresh produce.Education
