I have worked for over 20 years linking climate, health and urbanization into the decisions made by governments, industry and communities around the globe. I have deep experience working in climate science, policy, risk frameworks and a long-standing commitment to co-designing and implementing effective and equitable climate change strategies with diverse stakeholders.
Biography
I am a professor of sustainable urbanization and development at Nalanda University MBA program and lectured at Harvard, University of Miami, in addition to working as the lead author with the World Bank in climate resilience and investment programs in the sub-Saharan Africa.I have worked for over 20 years linking climate, health and urbanization into the decisions made by governments, industry and communities around the globe. I bring a broad range of skills and experience in a variety of sectors and disciplines, particularly in relation to disaster management, continuity management systems and climate risk management, integrating strategies across the urban sectors, disciplines and stakeholders with relevant science to generate on-ground action. I have assembled and developed solutions to the inter-linked issues of climate change, the energy transition, climate health risks, urbanization, the role of ICT and disaster risk reduction and in meshing these with broader development goals within the public and private sectors. I have deep experience working in climate science, policy, risk frameworks and a long-standing commitment to co-designing and implementing effective and equitable climate change strategies with diverse stakeholders.
I have published papers related to climate, health and the urban poor. Nonetheless, I authored two books: Climate Health Risks in Megacities: Sustainable Management and Strategic Planning and Information and Communication Technology for Sustainable Development. Currently working on an Executive Education Program at the University of Miami and my third book on climate, health and urbanization.

New book on the works: Climate, Health and Urbanization

Working on a new book on disaster resilience, climate change impacts on public health, and the urban poor. I developed an integrated assessment model algorithms to measuring vulnerabilities within population density, urban environments and I am currently collaborating with colleagues from Harvard and MIT.
