John R Helliwell since 2012 is an Emeritus Professor of Chemistry at the University of Manchester, School of Chemistry. He was recently admitted as a Fellow of the American Crystallographic Association and became an Honorary Member of the British Biophysical Society. He was awarded the 2014 Patterson Award of the American Crystallographic Association and awarded the 8th Perutz Prize Award of the European Crystallographic Association in 2015.
