Steven R. Bell
Professor Steven Bell is a complex analyst who has worked in several complex variables, conformal mapping theory, and potential theory. He and his coauthor, Ewa Ligocka, won Bergman prizes in 1990 for their work on regularity of holomorphic mappings in several complex variable. Professor Bell became a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society in 2012.

Biography
Steven Bell received his PhD from M.I.T. in 1980 under the direction of Norberto L. M. Kerzman. He was an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at Princeton University 1980-81, an Instructor, then Assistant Professor at Princeton University 1981-84. He has been at Purdue University since 1985. He held a Sloan Fellowship in 1984 and an American Mathematical Society Centennial Fellowship in 1988. He won the Bergman Prize in 1990 and was elected Fellow of the American Mathematical Society in 2014.Education
