Biography
Rajan Rajabalaya, PhD is Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Technology at the School of Pharmacy, International Medical University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.Dr Rajabalaya obtained his B. Pharm from The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai,India in 1998, M. Pharm and PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology from the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India in 2001 and 2009, respectively. Dr Rajabalaya currently holds the position of Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Technology in the School of Pharmacy, International Medical University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Dr Rajabalaya’s research interests are in the areas of topical and transdermal drug delivery system design and development; ethosomes; liposomes; proniosome drug delivery systems ; liquid crystal drug delivery systems ; vaginal drug delivery ; nanoparticulate and microencapsulated drug delivery systems ; biomaterials ; and polymer membrance characterisation. He has published 20 peer reviewed scientific papers in his chosen scientific area and presented 18 conference abstracts at international conferences. He is the coeditor of 1book in which he wrote 20 book chapters.
