Spotlight History

About the Series

The first series to genuinely meet real needs of teachers and students as they are teaching the new AS/A2 courses and sitting the first exams. Drawing on advice from teachers and examiners alike, the Spotlight History books provide invaluable support for the new specifications of Edexcel, OCR and AQA.
With a unique approach, this new series covers each essential period of history by spotlighting the key topics as identified by the AS level specifications. From Italy and the rise of Fascism and Russia in revolution, to the New Liberalism and British society between the wars, to Votes for Women and the Irish question, the books provide a wealth of material on these examination modules.
Each title in the series begins with a general introduction to the period to set it in context and then 7 to 9 topic-based chapters each structured as follows:
* Chronology
* Background
* essay section
* document section
* historical skills.
