Monographs in Contact Allergy

About the Series

The book series Monographs in Contact Allergy started in 2018 with Non-Fragrance Allergens in Cosmetics, followed by Fragrances and Essential Oils in 2019 and Topical drugs in 2021. These books present in-depth information on over 1200 contact allergens in cosmetics, fragrances, essential oils and topical drugs. Data include a full literature review of patch testing in groups of selected and unselected patients, case reports of allergic contact dermatitis, cross-reactions, irritant contact dermatitis, photosensitivity, immediate contact reactions, and much more.

Volume 4 (March 2022) Systemic Drugs provides monographs of all 507 systemic drugs which have caused delayed-type cutaneous drug hypersensitivity reactions, including maculopapular eruption, fixed drug eruption, DRESS, and many others. Occupational allergic contact dermatitis to systemic drugs is also fully reviewed.

These texts are suitable for anyone with an interest in contact allergy and allergic drug reactions, from university students to professionals, and all readers will find this informative and detailed series an invaluable resource.

Anton de Groot is the author of over 500 publications, including 7 international books on contact allergy and over 70 book chapters. In 2019, he received the Honorary membership of the American Contact Dermatitis Society for his ‘vast contribution to contact dermatitis’.
