    Biography

    David S. Anderson, Ph.D., is Professor Emeritus of Education and Human Development at George Mason University. His research focuses primarily on drug and alcohol abuse prevention, wellness, and health promotion, with attention to youth, young adults, and professional development; specialty areas include substance abuse prevention and wellness promotion, strategic planning, program development, health communication, and needs assessment and evaluation. Noteworthy publications include Health and Safety Communication: A Practical Guide Forward, Wellness Issues for Higher Education, Further Wellness Issues for Higher Education, Promising Practices Sourcebook, and Charting Your Course: A Lifelong Guide to Health and Compassion.
