The series is devoted to a critical and contextual analysis of legal issues throughout the Third World. It reconsiders at length the major issues involving change in law, and social development in the new world order. It provides a detailed critique of liberal law and development theory, explaining its relevance to and impact upon the local justice systems of peoples in the developing world.
