Resilient Tunnel Plug debuts on CNN

Tunnels have long been recognized as being vulnerable in the event of an attack, accident, or natural disaster that may lead to flooding, fire, smoke, deadly gases, or other hazards. An inflatable plug can seal off and protect the rest of the underground system by stopping these hazards.
-- Such a simple idea, but brilliant. Incredible that they inflate in 3 minutes!
-- Yes. It was Xmas 2006, someone called me to describe the problem and she asked me if I could propose a solution. Two days later I told her, "we inflate an huge airbag to seal off the tunnel." It is now a reality!
