Life Follows Art. Or mine has so far, if for education, research and career purposes. I started on the East Coast of America and ended up on the West, with stops in London, Ireland and Arizona in between. After many years as an exhibiting gallery artist I was drawn to animation and worked for Walt Disney Studios, Don Bluth and Fox Animation. In the process I have been delighted time and again to meet kindred spirits and discover the indomitability of the creative nature.

Biography

As a conceptual artist for Twentieth Century Fox Animation and Walt Disney Feature Animation Studio, Suzanne Lemieux Wilson worked closely with the directors to develop the finished look of the films. She provided inspirational paintings, comprehensive sketches, color renderings, lighting designs, atmospheric visualizations, and style variations as well as ideas for characters, costumes, backgrounds and sets.
Suzanne brings a stellar artistic career to the industry having exhibited art internationally and won many awards for her paintings. This asset is demonstrated by the fact that her original art has appeared directly onscreen and that her designs from the films have been used for toys, books, posters, exhibition art, lobby displays, videos, advertisements, and publicity.

- "Suzanne Lemieux Wilson, wife of the late Rowland B. Wilson, just sent me a guide to how she, with information from Rowland, put together their invaluable book of notes called Trade Secrets. Seeing the skeleton come together for this book is quite an informative document, and I couldn’t be happier that she trusted my blog to relay the information.."--Michael Sporn

"The depth of information on every page is enormous, and just perusing the book, flipping the pages, takes time because the material within is elaborate and complicated. Yet, watching Rowland Wilson break down the information makes you realize what you already know from studying his cartoons: this guy knows a lot, and all of it goes into the choices he's made in every cartoon."-Michael Sporn
