Industrial Experience Summary
I have more than 15 years of experience in oil and gas industry (incl. Subsea, off-shore and on-shore) as well as other industries in issue such as fracture mechanics, forensic engineering, integrity, corrosion management, FEED, design and materials selection, both in Australia and overseas. With a background in Metallurgy and Materials Science and Engineering, I have experience in weld inspection, mechanical failure assessment (HISC, SCC, SSCC, MICSCC) microbial corrosion treatment, biocide/inhibitor selection and application and employment of CRA, CP design, coating evaluation for both sour and sweet corrosion conditions.

Academic Experience Summary
I have authored- co/authored numerous refereed journal and conference papers as well as books published in the USA, UK and Germany. I have also organised and successfully executed industrial courses for different industries and expertise levels internationally. I have been an invited speaker and from 2010 to 2012, I was the Assistant Professor of Corrosion and Materials at Qatar University. During this two years time I became the Lead Principle Investigator of two international research projects.
I am also a referee for respected international journals such as Electrochemica Acta and International Biodegradation and Biodeterioration.
• Recipient of David Whitby Best Review Paper Award for the paper: “Making Sense out of Chaos: General Patterns of microbial corrosion of carbon steel and bio deterioration of concrete”, Australasian Corrosion Association (ACA), Sydney, Australia, 2007.
Workshops and Publications:
o Designed and successfully executed more than 20 workshops on topics such as corrosion management, microbial corrosion and corrosion knowledge management for various industries internationally.
