Markus Herbert Maria Montag
Markus worked as a laboratory director from 1992 to 2013, first in a private IVF setting and then at the University of Bonn and Heidelberg. He became a Professor for Experimental Reproductive Medicine in 2009. In 2011 he founded his own company, ilabcomm GmbH to perform consulting for reproductive laboratories all other the world and since 2013 works as CEO for his private enterprise. Markus has published more than 200 papers and more than 20 book chapters.

Biography
Markus started his carreer at the German Cancer Research Centre in Heidelberg where he initially worked in developmental biology. He obtained his PhD in 1992 and then started to work at the National University Hospital in Singapore with Prof SC Ng, the father oft he first SUZI baby.He became a laboratory director in a private IVF unit before becoming Director of the Reproductive Biology Laboratory at the University Clinics of Bonn in 1995. He became a Professor for Experimental Reproductive Medicine in 2009 and in 2011 he became head of the IVF Laboratory at the University Clinics of Heidelberg. In 2011 he also founded his own company to perform consulting for reproductive laboratories all other the world.
Markus left the University end of June 2013 and since then works in his position as CEO of ilabcomm for his private enterprise.
Markus has published more than 200 papers, including more than130 peer reviewed articles and more than 20 book chapters. You may follow his activities at Research Gate. He is actively involved in counselling IVF centres and educating young people in the field worldwide and he is a frequent lecturer.
