Biography
I was born in Syracuse, Italy. I received my M.Sc. and Ph.D., both in control systems, respectively from the University of Sheffield (UK) in 2007 and the University of Bristol (UK) in 2011. My Ph.D. thesis was awarded the prestigious Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Control and Automation Prize.In November 2010 I was appointed for the position of Research Associate in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London (UK) where I worked in the intersection of the Control & Power and Circuit & Systems Research Groups.
Since August 2012 I have been a Lecturer in Vehicles Electrical and Electronic Systems in the Department of Automotive Engineering at Cranfield University (UK).
My work and my research interests gravitate around the problem of implementing advanced control algorithms in hardware, where the controller design and the hardware implementation are not seen as two separate and decoupled problems, but as a single interconnected one.
