Aside from being very interested in the activities and interests of my wife, children and grandchildren, and Maltese dog (Sirr), I am now much involved in 4 endeavors: 1) working on and finishing the 2nd edition of Logistic Regression Models (Chapman & Hall/CRC)and journal articles I have agreed to do, 2) continue serving as President of the International Astrostatistics Association and helping it develop as a lasting and influential organization.3) serving as Chair of the Statistics in Sports Section of the American Statistical Association throughout 2014, and 4) teaching 5 courses for Statistics.com. I look forward to doing more consulting this coming year.

Chair, ASA Section on Statistics in Sports
By: Joseph Hilbe
Starting Jan 1, 2014 I begin my position as Chair of the Statistics in Sports Section of the American Statistical Association. From 2007-2011 I was Chair of the Sports Statistics committee of the International Statistical Institute (ISI), the world association of statisticians. I look forward working with section membership in continuing the development of a truly outstanding section.
