Scott M Hyderkhan
Scott was born and raised in Greenfield, IN. He joined the US Army on a Ranger contract in 1980 and spent the next 20 years of his life working along side fellow soldiers. Scott retired from the US Army in January 2001 and moved into a career of law enforcement, spending the next 19 years working along side fellow officers. He recently retired from the Mercer Island PD in January 2020. Scott's 39 years of military and LE experience gives him credible and valuable insight into the ASR mission

Biography
Officer Scott Hyderkhan currently serves as a 12 year law enforcement officer with duties as patrol officer, bicycle patrol officer, marine patrol officer, SWAT officer,and Active Shooter Response training instructor.Retired Master Sergeant Hyderkhan's professional military career spanned 20 years of active service with the United States Army. MSG Hyderkhan service included: Senior Military Instructor of the University of Washington US Army ROTC program. Duties included senior Non-commissioned advisor to the Battalion Commander, and the health welfare and supervision of 3 Non-commissioned Officers and over 100 cadets; Platoon Sergeant of a 40 man Ranger Rifle Platoon for A Co. 2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment. Duties included the health and welfare of the platoon and acting as Senior NCO advisor to the platoon leader, the supervision of 3 Ranger Rifle Squads, 1 Ranger Weapons squad, and Ranger Special Operations Vehicles and motorcycles. Technically and tactically preparing the platon for World Wide deployment in support of US policy and interests; Assistant Operations Sergeant for the S-Shops Battalion Headquarters 2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment. Duties included logistical planning for training, support operations, assisting in the planning of operations; First Sergeant of the 60 man Long Range Surveillance Detachment (Airborne) 110th Military Intelligence Battalion 10th Mountain Division. Duties included senior NCO advisor to the Detachment commander, health, welfare and training of 4 long range surveillance teams and the logistical support for those teams; Officer in Charge of the 10th Mountain Division Pre-Ranger and Advanced Land Navigation/Orienteering Course. Duties included the health and welfare for the Pre-Ranger Course instructor cadre, the preparation, evaluation, and certification of the 10th Mountain Division's US Army Ranger School candidates prior to their attendance of the US Army's Ranger School Course and the training of divisional personnel in land navigation and orienteering; Pre-Ranger Instructor for the 10th Mountain Division. Duties included instruction in navigational skills, dismounted patrolling to include the planning process, Raids, Ambushes, and Reconnaissance, and field craft; Squad Leader of a 9 man Ranger Rifle Squad for B Co. 2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment. Duties included the health and welfare of the 9 man squad, technically and tactically preparing the squad for World Wide deployment in support of US policy and interests; Pre-Ranger Instructor 7th Infantry Division (Light). Duties included instruction in navigational skills, dismounted patrolling to include the planning process, Raids, Ambushes, and Reconnaissance, and field craft; Squad Leader of a 9 man Ranger Rifle Squad in C. Co. 2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Battalion. Duties included the health and welfare of the 9 man squad, technically and tactically preparing the squad for World Wide deployment in support of US policy and interests; Fire Team Leader of a 4 man Ranger Fire Team as part of a Ranger Rifle Squad in 2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Battalion. Duties included the health and welfare of the fire team, technically and tactically preparing the fire team for World Wide Deployment in support of US policy and interests; Sniper, Automatic Rifleman, Grenadier, and Rifleman in an 11 man Ranger Rifle Squad in C. Co. 2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Battalion. Duties included achieving technical and tactical proficiency in individual tasks, and to operate within the team and squad collectively in preparation for World Wide Deployment in support of US policy and interests.
